Lying Down with Dogs

President Biden has taken quite an interesting turn in the years since he was a senator supporting segregation and vice president during the administration that deported more illegals than any other. He has denounced voter ID laws as “Jim Crow,” supported legislation favoring one race over others, and opened our southern border while instituting catch and release, allowing illegals to freely roam the streets of America. The most interesting, and quite frankly, despicable, aspect of Biden’s worldview as president, is the sides he has chosen. The best way to state it is that he has chosen to lie down with dogs.

Let’s look at some of the president’s hypocrisy, shall we…

He condemns Georgia’s new election laws and supports baseball boycotting the state, but has not, and probably will not, order the United States to boycott the Beijing Olympics. Why is this problematic? The left continues to falsely decry the new Georgia law as a voter suppression bill. Following the lead of everyone’s favorite race-baiter, Lebron James, who tweeted, “Proud to call myself a part of the @mlbfamily today. @Morethanavote #BlackLivesMatter,” Biden endorsed Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred’s decision to remove the 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta due to Georgia’s new election laws. The legislation requires voters to present identification in order to cast a vote, while also expanding weekend early voting and making ballot boxes permanent. There is nothing anti-minority in the legislation, nothing that would suppress black voter turnout, and nothing that even remotely represents the Jim Crow racism of the past. This is simply a divisive stunt by Stacey Abrams, who is desperate for relevance, Biden, who desperately needs to appease the race-baiters who helped get him elected, and the stooges in Congress who are looking for any hail Mary to save their dwindling majorities in the House and Senate. However, China operates concentration camps, forces sterilization upon women, and denies the basic human rights of Uyghurs and Tibetans, while also cracking down on citizens of Hong Kong, and what does Biden do? The great moralist, crusading against voter ID laws as though they were legalizing lynching, does nothing to stand up to the actual human rights abuses of our enemies in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Manfred said, “I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft,” while signing a streaming agreement with one of China’s largest tech firms, Tencent. The NBA apologized to China after former Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey spoke out against the Chinese crackdown on Hong Kong, siding with money over morality. Lebron James, always one to speak out when he can falsely claim racism, has been silent on China’s human rights record. It seems as though morality ends at the money stream’s edge. President Biden chooses to side with MLB and Lebron James, choosing politics over morals, preaching out of both sides of his mouth. Like MLB and the NBA, Biden has been accused of having a financial relationship with China. Could that be the reason he refuses to strongly denounce the Chinese Communist Party and has failed to order a boycott of the Beijing Olympics?

Moving to the Middle East, the president has decided to again move away from Donald Trump’s successful policies and return to the failures of the Obama administration. For nearly a month after his inauguration, Joe Biden failed to open lines of communication with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while at the same time voicing enthusiasm for opening dialogue with the terrorist regime in Iran. Biden showed disdain for the strongest American ally in the region and affection for our greatest enemy. He continues to dismiss the best interests of Israel by begging the Iranian strongmen to reengage the United States in another nuclear peace deal, ignoring Iran’s record of exporting terrorism and its fervent desire to destroy both the United States and Israel. Biden further sided with Iran over our allies by removing the Houthis, a Yemeni terrorist group backed by Iran, from the international terrorist organization list. But to further demonstrate how far from Israel this president wishes to push the United States, he is restoring $235 million in aid to the Palestinians. Much like the billions of dollars Iran received as part of the nuclear deal went to funding their terrorist efforts worldwide, the hundreds of millions of dollars going to the Palestinians for “humanitarian and economic assistance” will certainly be used to fund Hamas’ terrorist activity.

Former Obama Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, said of Biden, "I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” He has not only been wrong on issues, but also with the enemies with whom he chooses to associate and favor. One need not look to foreign policy, however, to see Biden lying down with dogs. During the summer of chaos in 2020, with American cities burning, federal buildings under attack, nightly riots and looting, and anti-police violence on our television screens, candidate Joe Biden was generic in his condemnation, hiding in his basement, hoping to avoid having to disavow his militant supporters. All Democratic condemnation of any of the violence involving Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa was generic, and BLM, the organization, despite statements calling for “burning down the system” and defending looting as “reparations,” was never called out for condoning violence. In fact, Democrats went through great lengths to separate those perpetrating the violence from those peacefully protesting. Compare that to the January 6th capitol riot, where all MAGA supporters were condemned for the actions of a small minority of those present in Washington D.C. that day. Biden called them “domestic terrorists.” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer referred to them as “rioters and insurrectionists, goons and thugs, domestic terrorists.” Similar refrains were repeated by other democrats and liberal talking heads. Without debating the disgraceful actions of those who breached the capitol building, were the BLM and Antifa members who vandalized and looted stores, burned offices, attacked federal courthouses and police stations, and assaulted innocent citizens walking the streets and eating in restaurants, not worthy of the same contempt from Democrat leaders and liberal media personalities? The difference is, the Democrat party has chosen to make its bed with Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other Marxist activist groups as a means to attaining and maintaining power, and so it did not and does not politically behoove them to condemn those violent organizations. As they say, it’s not wise to bite the hand that feeds you.

How about public safety? President Biden has issued executive orders to restrict Americans’ right to bear arms, claiming he is doing so to deal with the “public health crisis” caused by guns. What about the public safety crisis, which is a real threat? As liberal activists, including BLM, and some Democrats are calling for police departments to be defunded, crime is running rampant in major cities across the country. At least 13 cities, all run by Democrats, have already begun the process of defunding law enforcement, with billions of dollars removed from police departments from sea to shining sea. New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Minneapolis, among others, have slashed police budgets over the past year. Meanwhile, as police budgets are trimmed, CNN reports that major cities have seen a 33% rise in homicides, and 63 of the 66 largest police municipalities have seen rises in at least one category of violent crime. Could there be a correlation?

The president, although vehemently denying he supports defunding police, said as a candidate that he “absolutely” supported redirecting funds from police departments to social services, mental health counseling, and affordable housing. What is the difference between “redirecting funds” and “defunding?” Simply semantics. Despite upwards of 60% of American polled being opposed to diverting funding from police to other services, the Democrats choose to side with the liberal socialist activists who support their campaigns. The Democrats have sided with criminals over citizens, and anarchy over order.

We have seen the true moral backbone of the Democrat party and liberal socialists waging war on American society. They denounce voter ID in Georgia but silently avoid confronting genocide in China to continue economic deals. They slight Israel in the hopes of bettering relations with the Palestinians and Iran. They defend criminals and denounce police. They gently disagree with anarchy in the streets while loudly condemning efforts to maintain law and order. We not only have a right, as Americans, but also a moral responsibility to speak out against true injustice, promote peace, and pursue fairness and equality. We have to think about who we want to befriend, with whom we should ally ourselves, and who we should oppose. I heard growing up, “you’ve made your bed, now lie in it.” Biden and the Democrats have made their beds, choosing to lie down with dogs… they should beware waking up with fleas.
